Some people say that Sao Paulo is the world’s third biggest city. Some say it’s only the seventh. Either way Sao Paulo is massive.
Unfortunately we only had the time and money to spend four days in this magnificent city which is hardly enough to scratch the surface. Despite this we were able to visit Liberdade (home to the largest Japanese community outside of Japan), spend an afternoon at the amazing Ibirapuera Park whilst marvelling at the works of Brazil’s leading architect Oscar Niemeyer (see photo below), visit the impressive, newly opened football museum underneath Corinthians’ stadium, went to the MASP and eat perhaps eggwhite’s favourite pizza ever.
We don’t want to think how many amazing things we missed in one of the world’s biggest and most culturally important cities. Surely four months wouldn’t be enough…
